Protocol 01
ReconstitutionMathematics
A calculation reference for laboratory solution preparation. Research use only.
I. The Reconstitution Process
“Reconstitution” is the process of combining a measured volume of diluent with lyophilized material to create a solution of known concentration.
- Prepare and disinfect the work surface and vial closures.
- Measure the required diluent with calibrated laboratory equipment.
- Introduce diluent slowly against the vial wall.
- Gently rotate the vial until the material is fully dissolved. Do not shake.
II. Calculating Concentration
III. Calculating Sample Volume
Record every input, unit conversion, instrument identifier, and resulting concentration in the applicable laboratory log.
